On 18 February 2023, the Whistleblower Protection Act (Wbk) came into effect. This law replaces the House for Whistleblowers Act.

 

Every organisation with fifty or more employees is legally obliged to have an internal reporting arrangement, the so-called whistleblower arrangement. Apart from the aforementioned legal obligation, De Jong has in any case decided to draw up such an arrangement in the context of social responsibility.

 

The arrangement gives employees of their own or another organisation the opportunity to report (threatening) irregularities, abuses and infringements of EU law in the organisation.
